Went out to a christmas funtion at the green herring ( yes i know again but i promise they are not paying me to come) it was superb as per usual you could try to get in before christmas but to be honest i don't like your chances click here for the full review and some more links.
I also had the pleasure of dining at the cafe at reid CIT great food and very reasonable prices i have tried the pizzas and their steak sandwich and after you have that you can drop into the regional shop and pick up some great ready made meals and produce.
Had a pizza from The italian kitchen in kalleen, the vegetarian which was pretty packed up and very tasty.may sum in charnwood is not too bad either for take away the vegetables with all the dishes are fresh and their meals are filling and tasty, be warned though that if you pay for prawn chips you will get a bag roughly the same size as my three year old daughter, she had a bit of trouble carrying it but got there in the end. My wife has had the pleasure of going to a number of dinner functions recently And the pick of the bunch Seems to be Rock salt in hawker and of course the green herring, sabayon rates a mention but for some reason when ordering steak off the function menu if the first person wants rare for instance the waiters won't let the other people at the table choose a different preference, bit wierd but oh well. a few were abit on the awful side but we won't go into that they will most likely be closed, or franchised next year. Had a bite down at P J orielleys nothing special but the food was fast and hot and what more can you ask from a counter meal. any way i hope you all are having a great Christmas season and if i don't get another post in before happy new year.
